MyPRGenie is like Facebook meets Vocus.

Marketwatch crystallized the key benefits of the app:

  • The ability to create a social network profile for users, including archived press releases.
  • An interface allowing the user to manage and track the responses of its target audience members in real time.
  • A centralized tool for managing the user’s communications with all of its various audiences.
  • More than 600,000 media contacts, constantly updated, and the ability to focus interactive communications on smaller, targeted sub-groups of the news media.
  • The ability to create an interactive link with journalists, reporters, editors, conference producers and other key influencers.
  • Transparency, allowing the user to see who is responding to various communications and how messages are faring with select subgroups.
  • Publish press releases in a convenient format for readers and further syndication.
  • Feed news releases directly to interested parties.
  • Effectively leverage releases for increased brand awareness.
  • Encourage linking to positively affect search-engine rankings.

First and foremost, I think the app provides an easy way to build and maintain your influencer and media contact list on an ongoing basis, saving you the need to outsource this painful task to an unfortunate office intern.

Secondly, I like its distribution and measurement features. Thirdly, I like its  SEO for news releases.

Let’s see how the app proves itself after a period of use.
